For the Green Party, democracy is much more than getting the chance to vote in local and national elections.  Campaign actions and green events are an important way to help get the Green message across and build links with our communities and all those who care about People and Planet.  Here of some of the events Wandsworth Greens will be supporting over the coming months come and find us there.

 

Saturday 12th August:  Uses ans Folklore of our Native Plants - Alexandra Park

Walk led by Green Party member and botanist, Roy Vickery, at Alexandra Park, Haringey.  Meet outside the ticket hall of Alexandra Palace station, Buckingham Road, N22 at 2.30pm.  The walk will last for approximately 90 minutes and can be adapted to suit the physical abilities of those present; suggested donation £6 per person in aid of the London Green Party’s 2020 London Assembly election campaign. Thursday 13th September:  Wandsworth Greens Monthly Meeting

7.30pm the Arch room St Mary's Chruch Putney Putney High St, London SW15 1SN.  Meeting details/speaker to be confirmed soon!  All welcome. 

 

Petition For Genuinely Affordable Housing At Nine Elms

The development at Nine Elms was guaranteed to have affordable housing. Petition the council against going back on their promises of genuinely affordable homes. Sign the petition on 38 Degrees to be delivered to Wandsworth Council.

Halt The Network Rail Tree Felling Programme

Network Rail recently began cutting down trees on a massive scale. We call on the government to halt this tree felling programme until a comprehensive public consultation has been conducted, to include wildlife and environmental bodies. Sign the petition.
