For the Green Party, democracy is much more than getting the chance to vote in local and national elections.  Campaign actions and green events are an important way to help get the Green message across and build links with our communities and all those who care about People and Planet.  Here of some of the events Wandsworth Greens will be supporting over the coming months come and find us there.

 

 

Saturday 2nd June  'Change is Coming' anti austerity conference

10am - 6pm, St Pancras New Church, Euston Rd, London NW1 2BA.   Green Party co-leaders and deputy leaders  Jonathan Barltey and Amelia Womack will both be speaking at this event.   Click here to book

 


Tuesday 5th June - Free Palestine Protest 

 

5.30pm. Assemble Opposite Number 10 Downing Street, Whitehall, London – March to Old Palace Yard 
to show solidarity with the Great Return March in Palestine.

Organised by: Palestine Solidarity Campaign, Friends of Al-Aqsa, Palestinian Forum in Britain, Muslim Association of Britain.

Please bring Keys with you to symbolise the Nakba and the Right of Return.

 

Thursday 14th June 2018 - Wandsworth Green Party Annual General  Meeting

 7.30pm Balham Community Centre, 91 Bedford Hill SW12 9HE. The main business of this meeting will be to elect officers to the key roles in our local party.  Please come along and have your say on who will shape Wandsworth Green Party in the coming year!  Members can put themselves forward for any role at the meeting itself or contact wandworthgreenparty@gmail.com to express an interrest or find our more in advance.  

Saturday 23rd June  Brexit: People's Vote March

Caroline Lucas will be speaking. Our MEP Jean Lambert will be attending and all Green Party members are encouraged to attend. To join the 'Green Block'
- Meet at St James Square Gardens at 11.30am
- Joining the march on Pall Mall at midday

Saturday 30th June:  NHS 70th birthday - Celebration & Demonstration

Assemble 12noon, Portland Place, London W1A.  Organised by Keep Our NHS Public, KONP.  More details here.  Greens are encouraged to march with the 'Make Votes Matter' contingent - details here.
